Epic Games-chefen Tim Sweeney älskar Playstation 5

Sonys Playstation 5 släpps senare i år, men det mest kring den är fortfarande okänt. I veckan visade dock Epic Games uupp sin nya grafikmotor Unreal Engine 5, och i ett samarbete med Sony valdes Playstation 5 ut som format att köra demonstrationen på. Nu har Epic-bossen Tim Sweeney kommenterat konsolen och i samband med Summer Game Fest på Youtube säger han:

"The hardware that Sony is launching is absolutely phenomenal. Not only an unprecedented amount of graphics power, but also a completely new storage architecture that blows past architectures out of the water, and it's so far ahead of even the state-of-the-art in the highest-end PCs you can buy.

It's going to enable the types of content we've only dreamed of in the past. The world of loading screens is over and the days of geometry pop-in as you go through these games' environments are ended."

Känns som att vi kanske lika gärna kan ställa in corona-sommaren 2020 och låta hösten och nästa generation börja nu direkt, eller vad säger ni?
