Förra veckan visade Larian Studios äntligen upp Baldur's Gate III, vilket dock bara kommer till PC och Stadia. Man kan såklart fråga sig varför, har Google månne pyntat för en exklusivitet, handlar det om budget eller något annat?
Nu har producenten David Walgrave förklarat varför till Eurogamer, och han menar att Playstation 4 och Xbox One helt enkelt inte duger till:
"I don't think that current-gen consoles would be able to run it. There's a lot of technical upgrades and updates that we did to our engine, and I don't know if it would be capable of being able to actually run on those things. Maybe it could run, but then we would have to tone down the textures and this and that and it wouldn't look as cool anymore."
Släpps Baldur's Gate III till konsol, lär det alltså handla om nästa generation - även om vi stilla undrar om Larians vet att spel som Doom Eternal kommer till Switch?
