Avatar 2 döps officiellt om till Avatar: The Way of Water

Efter månader av spekulationer och förseningar visade idag Disney slutligen upp den första riktiga trailern till James Camerons efterlängtade uppföljare till megasuccén Avatar och avslöjade i samband med detta även den officiella titeln på filmen. Avatar: The Way of Water. Producenten Jon Landau flög in från Nya Zealand lagom till presentationen av uppföljaren och hade följande att säga.

"One of the strengths of Jim Cameron's scripts is they are always universal and relatable themes that he weaves into them."

"At the center of each of the four sequels will be the Sully family. Each story will be a standalone and each will come to its own conclusion. There will be a "fulfilling resolution to each film, but when looked at as a whole the journey across all four will create a larger epic saga,"

"The journey across all four movies will create a connected saga. To achieve our goals, we need a strong partnership with you and the studio...an end-to-end community."

Den nya trailern kommer spela exklusivt i biografer tillsammans med Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness som börjar rulla ut över världen nästa vecka och trailern kommer finnas på nätet att strömma veckan efter. Vi ser så klart fram emot att kika närmare på Camerons vidare vision för filmerna och det ska bli mycket intressant att se hur långt han pressar tekniken denna gången.
